This is one of Blackpool's oldest and most traditional hotels. For such an old hotel, it's reasonably well kept with a very high return number of guests. Blackpool North Train Station is 2 kms away.The bistro offers a wide choice of traditional dishes and an extensive wine list.This is an impressive red brick, purpose-built, 19th century building.The lobby is large in size with high embossed ceilings, chandeliers and attractive furniture. A relaxed atmosphere in rich surroundings with classical background music offers the guest that little bit more.

If I wanted a drink in the restaurant I needed to go to the Reception desk to ask someone to serve at the bar. I would then return to the bar for my drink and then wait at the bar until the person had got my change from reception. All this time my food was arriving and rapidly cooling down.
