A little off Orchard Road, the Metropolitan Y is a quaint little retreat surrounded by greenery. There's another YMCA hotel at Fort Canning a couple of minutes away downtown, but if you prefer something more rustic, this will be a better choice. In any case, to get around, you can easily take a bus or taxi. The nearest MRT stations are either Newton or Orchard. The hotel provides a shuttle bus service, so do check for timings with the front desk.The Metropolitan Y has 92 basic rooms, all air-conditioned and with attached shower and toilet. Provisions for extended stays are also possible at the apartment block. Buffet breakfast is included and if you're hanging around for lunch or dinner, try the Metro-Y Restaurant's Claypot Curry Fish Head and other Singaporean dishes. There are also different Western set meals for you to choose from.
