Hotel Overview

Built in 2005, this first-class Reykjavik Hotel marries modern glass features with the period charm of its original renovated 1764 house. Some of its history was unearthed during building work, when a Viking longhouse containing Iceland’s oldest known human remains was discovered. The glass atrium which joins the old and new helps lend light to the building and guests can enjoy traditional Icelandic food in the cosy ground-floor restaurant.

Location

The newly-built Reykjavik Centrum Hotel in Iceland’s capital can be found in the heart of the city on Adalstraeti. This union of modern and traditional Icelandic architecture is the perfect place to stay in Reykjavik to explore the city and the island’s volcanoes and world-famous blue lagoon. Reykjavik is just under an hour from the island’s international airport.
