For something cheap close to Vatican City, the San Pietro Rooms really fit the bill. This B&B is right next to exit D of the Ottaviano metro station, which is perfect if you want to see the rest of Rome’s sights. There are plenty of restaurants close to the hotel too.Rooms at the San Pietro are small but are very clean and come with the basic amenities you need for a comfortable stay. They are air-conditioned and have colour TVs, telephones and access to wireless Internet. A simple but filling breakfast of coffee and pastries is served at the lobby daily but if you prefer something heavier, you can check out the cafes nearby. If you need recommendations, don’t think twice about approaching the hotel staff as they’re more than willing to offer suggestions.
