Hôtel sacher (deluxe) - The hotel is situated directly on the banks of river Salzach overlooking the old town, with magnificent views of the castle on one side. The hotel is an impressive traditional building with a stone facade, everything one would expect from one of the leading hotels of the world. The hotel offers praying facilities such as prayer rug, Koran, praying times and information regarding direction towards Mecca. This hotel comes highly recommended. 0408SR

Due to the staircase being a main feature of the hotel, all the rooms open onto a landing surrounding the staircase. Rooms are all elegantly and individually furnished, many with original antiques. Both rooms and bathrooms are in good condition.

The hotel has a coffee shop and bar/restaurant area where guests can eat outside in warm weather, directly by the river and overlooking the old part of the town. There is also a quite a relaxed grill restaurant which is popular with the local theatre crowd either before or after a show.

The lobby is impressive as the main staircase leads from the lobby up through the entire hotel. It is small in size and traditional in design leading through to a coffee/bar area with a large seating area with plush chairs and sofas.
