Hôtel le meridien (all inclusive) - Located on the sheltered bay of Pointe aux Piments, on the northwest coast of Mauritius. The resort is approximately 1.5 hours from the international airport and 25 minutes from the capital city of Port Louis. As well, the lively village of Grand Baie, with many restaurants and bars, is close by. Typical concrete blocks of rooms, accented by tropical gardens, are surrounded by the large pool and various restaurants and bars. The property is situated on a long stretch of beach with calm waters for swimming. Although the blocks of buildings that house the rooms are more typical of a city hotel than an island resort, the property has more than compensated in other areas to turn this resort into a truly superior first class resort hotel. The rooms are in excellent conditon, all with a seaview, and the facilities are all you would expect and more. The spa, housed in nearly 900 squared metres, is the perfect spot to relax and unwind, offering all the traditional treatments plus yoga, tai chi and meditation.

Each very large room is decorated in luxurious modern style with rich colours and dark wood highlighted by white linens and all are in excellent condition. All rooms offer a separate seating area as well as a terrace or balcony overlooking the sea.

The resort offers guests a choice of three restaurants, featuring international, Mauritian, seafood and Mediterranean cuisine. The main restaurant, located off the lobby, serves both a buffet breakfast and dinner with live cooking stations. The beach restaurant serves an a la carte lunch and dinner in a casual setting overlooking the Indian Ocean. The third restaurant, located towards the end of the resort, offers a Mediterrean-inspired menu for dinner complimented by a specially selected wine list.

The Asian-inspired lobby is large in size and decorated with dark furnishings and wood. At the lobby bar, there is plenty of room to sit and relax over a drink and the main restaurant is adjacent to the bar.

The all-inclusive package includes the following: buffet breakfast, lunch at Shells, La Croque and La Faya restaurants (included items clearly marked on menu), dinner at all of the hotel restaurants (included items clearly marked) and unlimited drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) in all bars and restaurants (included beverages clearly marked). Mini-bar items not included.
