Set in beautiful scenery where the green of the mountains meets the deep blue of the Atlantic. The hotels location, its day and evening programme of excursions and entertainment, and its excellent facilities make it the perfect base for exploring the island or enjoying an action-packed holiday. This is a modern and attractive building. The hotel offers a variety of sports including a swimming pool and a separate children's pool, a tennis court, volleyball, badminton, bowls and archery (all equipment is available from reception). A multi-lingual diving instructor is based in the hotel and offers lessons and diving sessions to guests and is affiliated to international diving organizations such as PADI, SSI, PDIC, BSAC and IDD. Most rooms are decorated and furnished in a contemporary style with terra cotta coloured ceramic tiling, light tone bedspreads and curtains and comfortable wooden furniture. This hotel offers all the amenities expected in a 4-star hotel.

The restaurant, overlooking the beautiful bay of Machico, is decorated in soft peach tones which creates a restful atmosphere for diners and is open from 07:30-10:00 for breakfast, 12:30-14:30 for lunch and 18:30-21:00 for dinner. The friendly Piano bar is on the third floor of the hotel, and is ideally placed for guests wishing to take afternoon tea. Every night there is live entertainment and guests may enjoy a pleasant sociable drink together. The pool bar, next to the outdoor swimming pool is open from 10:00-16:00 with lunch available until 14:30.

The lobby is medium in size.

Full Board in buffet style (included of local selected wines, local beer, mineral water and soft drinks. 16H until 23H, soft drinks, rum, gin, vodka and whiskies, local selected wines, local beer and selected cocktails, Snack of the day between 11-11.30 am and ice cream between 4 and 5 pm. Sport facilites such as Volleyball, badminton and ping pong, tennis, Petaque, bicycle (max 6 people), archery, darts (all upon availability). Between May and October - Kayaking, sailing and windsurfing plus once per week introduction to scuba diving in the swimming pool DSS 05/09.
