Built on top of the city's old fortifications, the building itself, along with the overall atmosphere of the hotel, is historic and traditional. The city's oldest hotel, this property exudes charm and history, while offering guests up-to-date accommodation and facilities. The breakfast area is located off the lobby and has been recently expanded. Guests have the choice of sitting in the new airy breakfast area or the cozy library.

The lobby area is small with a reception desk, grand marble staircase and patterned stone flooring. Seating areas are available in the library area adjacent to the reception.
