Hotel metropole (room only) - The Metropole Hotel is marvellously well-located right in the historic centre of the European capital, just a few steps from the Grand Place, the Bourse and the Theatre de la Monnaie and close to Brussel's most exciting shopping thoroughfare. Built in 1895, the Metropole Hotel celebrated its 110th anniversary in 2005. This is the only hotel remaining from the 19th century in Brussels. In 2002, the Council of Monuments and Sites of Brussels-Capital Region protected the Metropole Hotel's facade as well as the ground floor. This hotel is excellent with beautiful features and rich in style with an excellent location. CG 12/08

The rooms vary from medium to very large in size and are kept in very good condition. They are constantly being redecorated to maintain good quality. They are fairly traditional and all vary in decor and style. The bathrooms are also in good condition and are also traditional in style but differ from room to room. There is a free mini bar with 6 drinks .

Breakfast is served on the ground floor in a small but attractive room. The hotels restaurant serves renowned gastronomic Belgian food and is also adjacent to the infamous lobby bar where there is a pianist in the evenings.

The hotel lobby is large and traditional, with a beautiful ornate ceiling, chandeliers and marble walls. It is very comfortable with plenty of leather sofas. The main entrance has been decorated in French renaissance style, the reception hall in Empire style.
